Conficker Variant Update - April 1st 2009
A new variant of the Conficker worm is set to activate today, April 1st. Although according to Microsoft and leading security firms such as Symantec and CA, being up to date with all Microsoft Critical Updates and anti-virus definitions will protect you against Conficker, the 24/7 RFA Service Desk is prepared to support all issues related to the virus, including cleaning infections and patching your machines.

Install all Critical Updates released by Microsoft for your workstations and servers.
Verify that your Anti-Virus software such as Symantec Endpoint is running the latest virus definitions.
