Cookie Policy
Every cookie and storage key this site uses, what each one is for, and how to change your mind.

The short version
This site sets no analytics cookies unless you accept them. If you reject, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics tag is loaded at all — not loaded and then silenced, but never requested. We run no advertising trackers and nothing on this site profiles you across other websites.
What this policy covers
“Cookies” is the familiar word, but the rules cover any storing of or access to information on your device. So this policy also covers local storage, and would cover pixels, tags and fingerprinting techniques if we used them. We do not.
Strictly necessary
These are needed for the site to work or to honour a choice you have made, so they are set without consent. There is exactly one, it exists only to record your answer to the cookie banner, and it is written only once you have answered.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| rfa.consent.v1 | Local storage | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so you are not asked on every page. | Until you clear it or change your choice |
Analytics — only with your consent
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and where visitors arrive from. These cookies are set only after you press “Accept all”. Google acts as our processor for this data, the property is administered by RFA's parent company Titan, and we have not enabled advertising features — so the advertising consent signals stay switched off even when you accept.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Cookie | Google Analytics. Distinguishes one browser from another so repeat visits are not counted as new people. | 2 years |
| _ga_SBQ2LS8GGN | Cookie | Google Analytics. Keeps session state for the specific property this site reports to. | 2 years |
We also use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure page views and loading performance. These set no cookies and store no identifier on your device, which is why they run without a consent prompt.
Changing your mind
Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the button below, or the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page, and the banner will reappear.
Withdrawing does more than stop future collection: we switch the Google Analytics tag off for the rest of the page view, tell Google the consent is gone, and delete the cookies listed above. Your browser settings can clear anything left, and every browser offers a way to block or delete cookies for a site.
Global Privacy Control
If your browser or an extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a refusal of analytics cookies and do not show you the banner at all. Several US state privacy laws require that signal to be honoured, and it is a clearer expression of preference than a banner click.
